What We Do

If you are new to hiring a party planner, you might be wondering exactly what a children's party planner can do for you. Let's peek into two homes to watch their birthday parties.

Little Susie

Susie's having a Princess Tea Party for her 4th birthday. You might recognize Susie's Mom the morning of the party. She's the Mom running around with the harried look on her face. She's setting up the food for the little princess tea party. Mom's in the kitchen making little sandwiches, answering the phone to give directions and trying to entertain the baby. A few minutes later, she trying to set up the tea table. She is using paper cups and plates because she was worried about her good china, and rightly so. It wasn't exactly what she envisioned, but it will have to do. Little Susie has come in twice to ask her Mom to fix her hair, but Mom has so much to do, she gives that job to Daddy. Susie's upset, her Mom is already tired and the party hasn't even started. (We didn't even see Susie's Mom the weeks before, shopping for favors, paper plates, cupcakes and surfing the net after the kids went to bed searching for games and activities to keep the princesses happy.) Thank goodness the girls have their own princess dresses, or do they?

During the party Susie's Mom is running around, talking to the parents, trying to organize the games, serving snacks and wiping up spills, all with the baby on her hip. At the end of the party, she realizes sadly that she didn't even get pictures. She is exhausted and her house is a mess. It just wasn't what she imagined.

Little Sarah

Now let's look at Sarah's party. Sarah's Mom is up looking fresh and happy after a great night's sleep. She spends the morning helping Sarah feel really special by spending extra time making her hair look pretty for her princess party. Mom even has time to spend on herself. One would never guess that there are going to be 12 four year olds and their parents coming over soon. Sarah's Mom seems so relaxed and at ease.

There is a knock at the door and Make Believe Parties is on the scene to set up an amazing princess tea party. Laura and her assistants bring in her bright pink party boxes filled with the most gorgeous princess gowns you will ever see. Sarah squeals with excitement as they set up the dresses. Sarah's Mom watches everything and is more relaxed than ever. In the next hour, Make Believe Parties sets up their own tables and chairs with a beautiful tea party, no paper cups. They prepare the food fresh in Sarah's kitchen and leave it sparkling clean. Leaving nothing for mom to do but smile and wait for the fun to begin. Sarah has fun peeking at the dresses and even helps set up her tea party. What fun! Mom is doing her one job, making coffee for the adults.

The guests arrive and walk into a magical party. Mom is still smiling and greets each mom. Susie's mommy still looks tired. As the girls enter, they are whisked away to the sparkle station for some glitter and shine. The party is underway and the magic never stops. Mom is still smiling and happily enjoying her daughter's special day.

The party is over, and everyone is leaving telling Sarah and her mom that it was the best party they had ever been to. While they are saying farewell, Laura and her helpers are cleaning up everything and taking it all away. They even offer to sweep up the cake crumbs. Sarah has fun playing with her gifts and mom feels great!
